This photo to me is a reminder of achievement, partnership, perseverance and resilience.

My boyfriend, friend and I visited Switzerland with the aim of summiting our first 4000m peak, Lagginhorn.

The weather was perfect, the scenery outstanding, the banter exceptional and the (reoccurring) lump in my stomach painful at times, eye wateringly so. Almost a perfect day. But we persevered, summited and supported each other every step of the way. It was an amazing achievement. The boys went on to summit Monte Bianco and I went to Geneva for summit chocolate.

I look back three weeks later, post surgery, thankful to the doctor who finally diagnosed and operated on my hernia and thankful for the adventure we had in this incredible country.
